Democracy as a distraction

This piece contains the ideas of Jeff Thomas. I am using it so my friends will not miss it and hopefully profit from this look behind the scenes.

In days of monarchy, the people could see a definite distinction between themselves and the rulers. For one thing the king was rich and usually portly due to being well fed .The populace was otherwise.

A new policy of democracy was instituted to take the attention away from the rulers. Opposing groups were introduced and everything therefore could be blamed on the elected hopeful. The king was still ruling from behind the scenes but remained hidden. Today the ruling group is the deep state. They remain hidden.

Ideal election results are 51-49% which sounds very familiar to today’s results. Both groups remain hopeful and look forward to the next election. No one is overly distraught,

It is best to bounce back and forth between parties and winners, most of whom are totally unaware of their pawnships.

In all cases, the rulers still create problems for everyone, and cash in on the results. The government then steps in as a solution. Another opportunity is presented to cash in for the rulers.

In all cases the electorate takes the blame and is entitled to the tab. Although restless and unsettled the problem never boils over. The unawares are hopeful that the next election will bring their salvation.
